Eyeshadow: golds

This week I'm continuing with my theme of using eyeshadows from The Body Needs (www.thebodyneeds2.com). I'm teaming a colour from the Smoked Collection with its equivalent from the Blackened Collection. I have the Iced Collection coming soon, so I'll be able to add that to the mix, too. Today I've gone for golds.

Left: Smoked Gold. Right: Blackened Gold.

This is pretty much the same as the last look I did with the greens. From the UD Naked palette, I used Virgin as my brow highlight and a mixture of Smog and Dark Horse in the crease. Over Pixie Epoxy, I applied Smoked Gold all over the lid and along the lower lashline. I then used Blackened Gold on the outer third of the lower lashline and foiled along the top lashline as eyeliner.

This gold look isn't too 'in your face' gold, more like an antique gold.

There's a bit of smudging going on here in the inner corner. This was taken after a day at work, so some of the eyeliner had worn off (I have hayfever so my eyes water a bit). Still, you can see what I was going for here. The crease and outer portion of the lower lashline were actually a bit darker than they appear in these photos, too. So there's my subtle gold look. Enjoy!

Edit: I just received an email from The Body Needs. If anyone's interested in buying from them, until the 18th they have 10% off all everything in store. That's including all their MAC pigment samples. Their glitters are apparently already reduced by 20% so you'll actually save a total of 30% on those. The coupon code is Glitter. Happy shopping!
