Eyeshadow: teal and mauve

More Fyrinnae (www.fyrinnae.com) today! I have one last look using my latest eyeshadow order, which I'll post tomorrow, and then it's time to have me some Naked fun (Urban Decay, that is). I also used another colour from The Body Needs (www.thebodyneeds2.com) Blackened collection.

Coming up: Urban Decay goodies!

Whoa, two posts in one day. You know that means I'm excited. I finally have it! It's mine at last! What am I talking about? Urban Decay's Naked palette, of course. I've been trying to get my hands on this baby for about a year, but I finally ordered it online from HQHair (www.hqhair.com). It was £32, which ended up being just under $50 at the current exchange rate. Yep, only $50 for 12 beautiful eyeshadows!

I have it at long last! (Oops, ignore my neck reflection in the mirror.)

I also got two of the 24/7 Glide-On Shadow Pencils in Morphine and Midnight Cowboy. I'd love to get them all, but I thought I'd just try two for now and see how I go. I've read they stay put once they dry, so I'll wear them alone to give them a test run and let you know my results.

I'm a little overwhelmed at the amount of looks I'll be able to do with the Naked palette, so I may have to trawl the net for inspiration pictures of looks that others have done. If you know of an awesome look you think I should try, leave me a link below and I'll check it out. Hooray!

Eyeshadow: Damn Paladins

Continuing with my Fyrinnae (www.fyrinnae.com) eyeshadow haul, this entire look uses just one colour: Damn Paladins. It's a very unique colour: it's a lovely taupe that has blue microglitter in it. It's a great choice for when you're doing a quick, subtle look with only a hint of colour. I wore it to work twice this week, but I wore it two different ways.

It's a lovely taupe with blue sparkle.

Eyeshadow: black and gold

Today's look has black all right, but gold? You decide. I used Fyrinnae's (www.fyrinnae.com) Platinum along with two eyeshadows from The Body Needs' (www.thebodyneeds2.com) Blackened collection. I usually go for bright colours, so for something different today, I used neutral shades to create a bold, dark look.

Eyeshadow: purple and blue look

I have another Fyrinnae (www.fyrinnae.com) look for you guys today. I used two new eyeshadows: Catrina Cabaret and Sequined Master, which is an Arcane Magic shadow. Catrina Cabaret is a dark blue with pink microglitter in it, while Sequined Master is a super-sparkly pinky purple. I also used a new eyeshadow from The Body Needs (www.thebodyneeds2.com) called Blackened Violet, from their Blackened collection.

Eyeshadow: inspired look

So here's the first of my looks using my new Fyrinnae (www.fyrinnae.com) eyeshadows. I teamed Dinosaur Plushie with Velvet Vampire (Arcane Magic) after seeing how lovely this combination looked on Raven Rose (http://ravenandtherose.blogspot.com/) in her blog post here.

Left: Velvet Vampire. Right: Dinosaur Plushie.

The photo on the left basically shows the base colour of the eyeshadows. The one on the right is blurred to showed the sparkle, but it still doesn't capture the awesomeness of Fyrinnae's eyeshadows. Anyone who's ever had the privilege of owning a Fyrinnae eyeshadow will tell you that.

Nails: A England Tristam

This week I'm wearing Tristam from A England (www.a-england.co.uk). It's a dark navy blue holographic nail polish. It's amazing! It's hard to find dark colours with the noticeable rainbow holo effect, but A England has perfected the formula with Tristam and Lady of the Lake. Each of the nail polishes in the Mythicals collection has been a winner for me (this is number three). I'm considering getting some more: each polish is £9 and shipping to 'rest of the world' (ie. Australia) is only £4.

You can't really see its holo-ness in the bottle, but you can see how beautiful the base colour is.

Coming up: Fyrinnae eyeshadow

I just got my latest Fyrinnae order and I can't wait to try the eyeshadows! I have a whole bunch including the famous Dinosaur Plushie. So this is just a quick update to let you guys know what's coming up. Lots and lots of sparkle is on its way. Until then, have a great one!

Eyeshadow: subtle sparkle

This is a quick look I threw together today. I was meeting some friends for lunch so I just did a simple eye makeup. I also forgot to take photos, so I took these about 12 hours after application and I was too lazy to pull out the eyeshadows I used to take photos of them. Sorry!

Very little eyeshadow and some liner.

I simply used MAC If It Sparkles all over the lid and along the lower lashline, with a tiny dab of MAC Reflects Pearl on the inner corner. I used Inglot #420 Pearl lightly in the crease. A touch of eyeliner and mascara, an voila! Super simple. I did team this with red lipstick, though.

Eyeshadow: aqua pop

Today I just grabbed two random eyeshadows from my collection and decided to wear them together. I chose a pressed shadow combined with a loose sample. I ended up with a Make Up Store cyber shadow in Elf (discontinued) and a sample of Harken by Morgana Cryptoria. It was fun just grabbing two different colours without thinking about it beforehand.

Left: Harken is aqua with pink sparkles. Right: Elf is lilac with yellow and green microglitter.

Eyeshadow: fiery look

I went for a fiery look the other day, using oranges and reds. It's something I haven't worn in ages, which is the whole aim of this series I guess. I tried to do a graduating colour from orange to red on the lid, with red all the way around the outside. I used loose eyeshadows from Morgana Cryptoria (www.morganacryptoria.com) and a matte pressed eyeshadow from Napoleon (www.napoleonperdis.com).

Nails: Ozotic Pro 621

A new addition to my nail polish collection is Ozotic Pro's 621. As usual, I got this from Picture Polish (www.picturepolish.com.au) for $14.95. I was expecting a red holo; in fact, that's exactly what the description says it is. However, that's not exactly true. It's ridiculously sparkly, but it doesn't have the rainbow glittery effect that you'd see on a regular holo, even in the bottle.

It looks just like a standard glitter in the bottle.

Eyeshadow: sparkly blue look

Hooray! This is my 100th post. Who would have thought that you guys would be interested in my babble for 100 posts? Thanks guys!

To take a break from all the purple and green I've been wearing lately, I decided to go for a blue look today. I ended up using a few eyeshadows from the now defunct About Face. I really like how well this turned out.

Left to right: Typical Mania, Fish & Cut Bait, Acidic Reign (my favourite dark turquoise ever, even though it looks bluer here than it actually is).

Eyeshadow: inspired look

I'm a huge fan of Sparkling Luna's blog (http://sparklingluna.blogspot.com). She does some amazing looks with sparkly eyeshadow, of course, which are totally inspiring. Her most recent EOTD here was so simple yet pretty, I felt compelled to have a go at recreating it.

Purple and green again. Yes please!

Eyeshadow: blingy purple look

I went to see the roller derby on Saturday night and thought I'd go all out with my eyeshadow. I love bright, sparkly looks and I would totally wear this even if I wasn't going out. In fact, I took a trip to Bunnings with this on! Purple is my absolute favourite eyeshadow colour to wear, along with green, and I've been kind of neglecting it lately, so I thought I'd remedy that.

I wore purple all over and then added some dark grey glitter along my top lashline.

Nails: Ozotic Pro Elytra 528

For those who are unfamiliar with Ozotic, it's an Australian nail polish brand that specialises in funky holographic and colour-shifting polishes. I've previously mentioned a multichrome colour of theirs here. The Elytra collection also features multichrome polishes, only it's a glitter polish and the glitter itself does the colour shifting! I recently purchased #528, which has teal glitter that shifts to purple, pink and then bronze.

Even in the bottle, you can sort of see the different colours.

Purple and green look

This is just something I whipped up quickly. I used a random selection of makeup to create this look, so I couldn't even tell you all the brands and things I've used. I realised this is similar to the Sleek look I showed before, except the colours are reversed.

I love purple and green together!

I had fun with this because there wasn't so much sparkle on my eyelid like I'd usually do; instead, I used a sparkly green along my lower lashline. It's not dramatically different, but it's fun.

Nails: A England Avalon

OMG! This is the best, most incredible metallic purple nail polish ever. EVER. I have duochromes and other amazing purples, but nothing can compare to A England's (www.a-england.co.uk) Avalon from the Mythicals collection. I can't stop looking at my hands, especially in the sun. Everyone dreams about finding their favourite, most perfect nail polish. Well, I'm happy to say that I've found mine. It's simply unbelievably beautiful. Hang on a second while I try to stop hyperventilating...

One eyeshadow three ways

I love duochrome eyeshadows. They can look so different depending on what you use as a base -- each different colour in the shadow can be emphasised separately, which is what I tried to achieve here using the duochrome Definer shade from the Wet n Wild Comfort Zone palette.

The MAC Club (almost) dupe from the Comfort Zone palette.

One more Sleek look

So this is another look I did with the Sleek i-Divine palette in Original. Here's another picture of the palette to remind you of its excellent selection of colours.

This time I used the green as the main colour. I used the green from the end of the top row all over the lid, with the olive shade from the end of the bottom row in the crease. I used the purple along the lower lashline and a hint of the yellow on the inner corner of my eye.

I love green and purple together.

I like how it turned out except I think that next time, I'll used both green and purple bases and layer the eyeshadow over the top to make it brighter and the colours pop.
